Slipping Into Indonesian Night Meet, The Crew X Wisebois

So last night was quite fun. I decided to join The Crew X Wisebois night meet at Senayan Park, right after I went home 100km+ trip from Karawang, the plant where I’ve been working for a couple of years. Recently it’s been a tradition for me to go to my parents house at Pamulang to check on them and my cars. Usually, I spare every Friday just to have a good night rest. But last night, it was different. I want to test my car right after engine overhaul and I want to feel the ‘scene’ again after a really long hiatus.

These couple of months, I’ve been really anxious while driving this car. But last night, I’m relieved that this car can bear the long traffic with below average temps thanks to some customization to the thermostat. But, let’s talk about it later, I want to show you some of the cars that hooked my eyes.

I can say that The Crew is one of the notorious club that always been successful for throwing a night meet and night run. You can see a lot of car enthusiast from around Jakarta with many different styling that came to their designated place, go with their rules, and still get the fun. Their tradition is to have a 1-2 hour meet up, then move to a new designated location via Jakarta Toll Road while doing some photoshoot. It really hooks the audience. It’s quite an old concept. But they did it with passion without thinking about the revenue or engagement. They just want to meet up, do some fun night run on a toll road, and go back home with a smile.

I think this is an ideal concept for a pure car enthusiast. It gathers people to have fun with their car.

THis car hooked both of my eyes. Maybe it’s not an original 190e EVO because it’s right hand drive. But it still looks really cool!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-2

I really love a clean modified Honda Stream. Even it’s an MPV, but it have a really sporty looks. The 2.0cc version also equipped with K20. So, it’s should be really fun owning this!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-1

A nice clean look Toyota Corolla with a set of Enkei RS Evo. It’s a really great examples on how Toyota Corolla should be.

THE CREW WISEBOIS-18

People might look Honda EG / Estilo more than this Genio. But when you played it right like this one, you won’t regret it.

THE CREW WISEBOIS-32

A simple overland style like this Suzuki Jimny / Katana is now quite a hype in Indonesian car scene. A lot of MPVs also did a styling like this. I believe it’s an evolution of styling from the old “Alto” style back in the days.

THE CREW WISEBOIS-5

You might seen this Jimny as a regular Jimny. But when you looked at the OZ Wheels, and blank plates, you know that the owner really got taste.

THE CREW WISEBOIS-15

A muscular + expensive Rubicon appears. Judging on it looks, the owner really like the mud, yeah?

THE CREW WISEBOIS-17

Another clean 190e with AMG Styling really caught me eyes! Nice rides, pal!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-29

A silver CLS with a set of AMG wheels and meaty rubbers really showcasing the young and bold execs.

THE CREW WISEBOIS-19

I really like stanced Civic ES. Owned by Gozzy Moeis, one of the raddest videographers in town! I really want to featured his car in this blog. Maybe sometime in the future!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-30

A lifted W202 with Dakar Rally styling? Why not? Good job man! I agree with those stickers on the windshield!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-31

I really like with the styling of this Audi TT. But those paper tape and not having license plate on the back really decrease the aura. Maybe the owner just got the car back straight from the paint shop. But I hope, they will put a plate anytime soon!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-35

Did you realize that the appearances of M4s is quite common around South and North Jakarta? Did it means that our economy is growing?

THE CREW WISEBOIS-14

Altezza Gita Wagon with TRD T3… Tasty!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-23

An orange M2 is quite rare for me. Nice one!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-38

This is one of notorious 350z around South Jakarta and Bintaro. I really like to see it being driven. Nice one Mr. Bintang!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-39

An E39 wagon with M Parallel wheels. It’s quite basic. But always cool. The styling of BMWs in the 90s to early 00s was never wrong, right!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-20

Meaty Porsche Cayman with OZ Futura. Very mature.

One of the stars of the Night Meet is this 180sx. You can see the paint, the stance, and the stripes. Really knock my inner childhood! What a nice ride you got Mr. Lucky!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-21

This Nissan Silvia also the star of the meet. This car owned by Mr. Mimo, a legend in Indonesian drift scene. This car got the fitment, and the performance of drifting. Nowadays, you can see Mr. Mimo and his son went to car meets and drift events. What a dream comes true!

THE CREW WISEBOIS-10

A very nice looking R32 Sedan.

THE CREW WISEBOIS-37

This Toyota Mark II really got the Japanese vibes.

Even though there’s a lot of cool car appears, but when these two bright yellow proper Evos came into the parking lot, my jaw dropped. I’m always been a fan of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions. Especially when they got meaty tires and a nice set of JDM Racing wheels, that’s enough for me.

One of the nicest trends of car meet is seeing people brought their own foldable chairs and chilling, talking about cars and stuffs. What a nice time to be alive as car enthusiast. We really like to see the scene growing.

Big shoutout to The Crew and Wisebois for making this cool meet happened!

Cheers,
Wailan.
