Last time when we attended the Speed Matsuri x Offset kings from the Goodrides, we’re thrilled to see so many cool cars from different kind of style, some of JDM finest rare cars that we never see everyday in Jakarta-Indonesia, and not to mention The super nice Gaijins that lined up outside the premium parking spot.
As I mentioned above, due to strict regulations and the price that fly high above the roof the JDM finest cars are impossible to afford except you have a good connections and your money can be past to younger generations.
And that’s why many people are fiddeling with the local market cars and put our mind and sweat or even tears also creations into it and came up with something specials, that’s what make the Indonesian car scene are special, but there are some people that being comfort at following other people step and not put their own creative ideas onto their cars, so their becoming stereotype and becoming bored to see the same style on the same cars.
Something About Galang
Luckily we attend the Goodrides event, and met Galang Rizky the owner of the red hot Civic FB, when we saw it for the first time we felt in love right away. Somehow, we’ve seen that Galang did it differently. We interviewed him, and surprisingly he said this is his first time to own a sedan. It was given to him as his daily ride and he didn’t have any intentions to mod this Civics into the this kinda style in the beginning. But then, he tried to have some ‘touch ups’ with only mod the undercarriage just to have some fun running across the downtown just like every other guys do it to their civics.
The Cause
After he joined to the local car community “Bemper Autoclub” he began to get some references to mod his car but adding his crazy idea to it to make it different.
First he installed the airsuspension sistem by YM Airperfomance, the local workshop in Bogor area. Then he put the Two-piece Yaba king spoke wheels from 326power Japan. The specs was crazy and I thought that this is the first Honda Civic that rolling with this kind of style in Indonesia.
The bodyworks was done by Brilliant Motorsport to get some nice natural widebody, repainted to this bright hot red, then to add little details from front and rear bumper, all around lips and duck tail detailed with Dull Black. It came out good, and fresh.
But galang didn’t stop there, he installed the Big Brake Kit from Altech with Dual calipers on the Front and single caliper on the back.
Not to mention that he put this set of RX-8 Seats into his Honda Civic. Kinda weird at first to realize this, but turns out awesome!
Because of his crazy ideas his car came out good and one of a kind!
You know there are some people are trying so hard at being different from everybody else are often end up over doing it, and end up messed up their cars looks instead turning into piece of beauty, but hey, who am I to judge? Its their own creations, and money and cars and ideas.
But Galang’s Civics here is good at being different
