Fastin’ FastOut 2016 by @thegoodrides // A Good Break

About a week ago, we’ve been invited by our cool friend, @thegoodrides to snap some pic at their latest event, Fast In Fast Out. Actually the purpose of this event is just to go fast while fasting. When the hot sun shinning into the hot mix and the dehydration caused by the condition of the circuit, makes the Fast In Fast Out 2016 just awesome as it is.

The ‘OTW’ Things

Because some reasons, we’re very sorry that we didn’t arrive at Sentul International Circuit on time. But we do appreciate the invitation from mas Eka Budhi Irawan. We also congratulate him as the newlyweds. But unfortunately, we didn’t meet him because of some reasons also. Anyway…

This time, Iman bring his ex-car-that-now-belongs-to-his-brother. We do love to see Iman’s Starlet EP82 with blue paint and an Advan wheels in it. Actually Iman’s brother – Shandy, that his car had been featured before really put much efforts on rebuilding this car. We can say that Iman and Shandy both have different touch in cars, and we do love both of em’!

A Good Break

This is what we loved about @thegoodrides. They always make an event that just different from the others. Basically, the goal of creating an event is profit. But they have another purposes. The passion that they blend with the creativity, just make the event good as it is. They didn’t offer a hot girls as they ‘marketing’ to attract crowds, or even sexy dancers to attract participants. We do adore hot girls and do love sexy dancers. But sometimes, we need something that really a classy car enthusiasts event. Like this ‘time trial’ event that had been provided by @thegoodrides.

2016 seems a slow down a bit for the typical car show and car contest. We also understand that sometimes people needs time to built their car, drive it, and enjoy it. Then if they’re satisfied, they can show their lovely builds to people. This is what we love to show. People that brings their passion as a car enthusiasts that means they drove it. For real. We do love all the tuner that makes the car in any creative way into many cool and stunning forms. But we do respect for the people that build their car as their own creations with passion and not leave the aesthetics of car as a transportation platform.

The Tensions Was Real. But…

While we got into the circuit, we feel some heat and tenses in all participants. Why? Because their trying to reach their best time with their own cars on Indonesian’s only official circuit that long before was recognized as the International circuit. But. it’s really sad to see the circuit was on the bad shape. The road surface and mixture was bad, and also dangerous if all the drivers keep pushing their car into their maximum’s limit.

The rumor had spread that the circuit will soon be renovate (also re-layout?). But we really curious with the results and new conditions that government (or the people in charge) will offer. We also really hope that the circuit will be better. Because the Indonesian Car Culture was really growing and cool things is going to happen sooner or later.
