We believe that any of you would agree on how the car scene of early 2000s can influence our love in cars. Not just because EA Games began to release their epic Need for Speed Underground franchise, the event of car modification began to rise. Even MTV Indonesia tried (but failed) to put Indonesian Pimp My Ride to the local audience. In this era, Djarum, a tobacco manufacturer company also release their Djarum Black product that put Car Enthusiast as their biggest audience. Hence, they started a competitive auto contest called Djarum Black Autoblacktrough. Now, they call it Djarum Black Auto Battle.
This year, they also began their road trip of events throughout Indonesia to make car enthusiast compete their creativity to the fullest in modifying cars. But, this year they started it at Solo. Then, why Solo?
Well, Solo is indeed a small city in Centra Java. But the car scene is also insane. We’ve covered many car enthusiast and their activity many years ago. They just not playing with JDMs. But also european cars like BMWs and AMGs. If you’re seeing a rad F30 with their remapped chip, the guys at Solo already ‘trashed’ their engine many years ago. So, don’t see Solo as just a regular city of car enthusiast. They’re different and on another level!
You may realize that you’ve seen some other car on another region. Since it’s a battle to get the king of Indonesia, their road trip is to find many hidden gems in Indonesia. But, the owner are also have to attend their series to gain more points.
If you want to see the main result, you can come to their final battle 9-10 November 2024.
See you there!
Cheers~
