Last week was very exhausted week for me. FYI, I need to go to Bimmerday 2015 in Bandung as a part of my thesis to see how BMWCCI interact each other as a part of BMW’s official club. Luckily, I don’t have to go to Bandung all by myself. Frido with his F20 that has been featured as the first Rolledlife’s Articles was willing to go to Bimmerday as well. So, the journey begins when I met frido at Rest Area KM 19 Cikampek Toll Road.
It’s been amazing for seeing frido that Frido with his stanced out F20 can speed up on the highway road. His F20 was a 1.6 Liter twin turbo BMW Powered. Although the purpose of the 1600cc engine was to get a better fuel efficiency, it turns out that the power that came out from the engine was great. Frido says that at some point, his car can even beat the 2.0 liter engine BMW on the road. FYI, Frido still keep the engine stock!. So, BMW is still a BMW. Even it says fuel efficiency, it can go fast. Faster than we knew!
When we first arrives at Bandung, one of our friends who lived in Bandung was willing to have us stayed in his house. His name was Andipa with his great BMW e46CI. It was a blast for having friends that willing to help. Andipa or Dipo says that his car is still on recovery. So, we can’t wait to see his car after its recovered!
The next day was the Bimmerday. After done some preparations, finally we can go to the Bimmerday at Lapangan Brigiff, Cimahi. You may guessing why does Frido wipe his car. The weather in Bandung was unpredictable for us. Frido wiping his car just right after he’s done washing his car at Checkpoint Bandung. Well, maybe it just his bad luck LOL
E90 With Weds Kranze was quite rare. But it turns out great!
Not your everyday view. BMW E30 M3 was very rare in Indonesia. You may lucky if you can drive this car around town. Owning this in Indonesia is not just about money. Its about luck and of course, taste.
And another M3 Powered E36 is something that you won’t miss.
If you’re a BMW lover or fanatics, its like your kinda heaven right?
Seeing this perfectly restored BMW E28 was straight to my childhood. I grew up with BMW E28. My dad used to having me on the steering wheels, or just tell me to start the car in the morning. My first impression of cars was this kind of BMW. Too bad that my dad had to sell it. That’s why owning a perfectly restored BMW E28 was one of my life’s goals.
Bimmerday Bandung 2015 was quite a success story of BMWCCI. The euphoria was great. Many people attended this event from anywhere. Not only from Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, But also from Semarang and Jogja. So, it was a blast from BMW fans to attend this events. Great job BMWCCI!
So after the party’s over, I did some snaps for Frido’s F20 because the wet looks that came from his Work Seeker CX was just stunning. That’s a wrap for our trip Day 1-2. Wait for our Day 3 trip reports! See ya!
